Founded in 2009, The ITEX Group is a privately held real estate investment firm. Originally a holding company for primary operating companies, ITEX and its affiliates are now able to offer experience in multiple aspects of the real estate world including property asset services, property investment, property development, consulting services, construction services, and property management.
The ITEX Group pursues a broad range of real estate investments that offer risk-adjusted returns to our investors and clients. History
K.T. "Ike" Akbari founded the first operating company, ICON Builders, LLC. in 1996 and quickly developed the company into a successful developer and general contracting business. His success came from nearly twenty years of experience in real estate development, construction and management through Park Central Management, Inc.
In 2002, Mr. Akbari acquired the Park Central Management, Inc. through a merger with ITEX Property Management, LLC. In 2003, Mr. Akbari formed ITEX Properties, LLC and began to develop multifamily housing using Low Income Housing Tax Credit equity. Since 2003, The ITEX Group, through its affiliates, has become a diversified construction, real estate investment, management, and development firm.
