This community will be conveniently located just steps away from downtown, will include apartments with top-of-the-line finishes, and will host amenities such as workout facilities, swimming pool, dog parks, playgrounds, and so much more. Construction is currently underway, and units will begin to be available in late Fall 2021.
Bayou Grande will include over 200 assisted Section 8 project-based voucher units, among other unit types. This will include 1, 2, and 3-bedroom unit offerings. HACS’ partners at ITEX are opening a prewaiting list for these assisted units for interested applicants starting on April 30,2021. Pre-applications will be used to create full waiting list applications closer to tenant selection. Preliminary eligibility of applicants will be based on The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Federal Income and other eligibility guidelines and the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program. Priority preference will be given in accordance with a tiered preference structure recommended by HUD’s Choice Neighborhood Program and adopted by HACS through its Administrative Plan. Additional details will be provided regarding waiting list preferences on the HACS website (www.hacsla.com) by June 2021. Selections of eligible applicants will be made by unit size, waiting list preference tier, and date/time of application. A preference tier will be exhausted before moving to subsequent preference tiers.
